Project Description

Flexbrick has created this innovative system that consists of a stainless steel mesh mixed with terracotta tiles, using biogas in the production process in order to avoid Co2 emissions to the atmosphere and contributing in this way to the sustainability, one of the main themes of the Expo 2020 Dubai.

This project is designed by the Kuwaiti-Spanish architectural firm AGi architects.

A ceramic layer covers the ground and facades of the pavilion, making it seem as though the structure is wrapped with a terracotta carpet. The design helps emphasize on the pavilion’s public spaces and how humans circulate and interact within it.
