Centro Interpretación Alfarería Navarrete
Project Description
Flexbrick is an innovative construction system that makes it possible to create surfaces with ceramic pieces. The Navarrete Pottery and Ceramics Interpretation Center, designed by the Inar Group, is an example of the application of this system in a public work. The building is integrated into the landscape and respects the historical and cultural heritage of the area, while showing the evolution and diversity of Navarrete pottery.
The use of Flexbrick in the construction of the Interpretation Center has several advantages. On the one hand, it allows the creation of a ventilated façade that improves the thermal and acoustic insulation of the building, reducing energy consumption and CO2 emissions. On the other hand, it facilitates the placement of the ceramic pieces, as they are pre-assembled into panels that are fixed to a metal structure. It also offers great creative freedom to the architect, who can design organic shapes and adapt to the conditions of the terrain.
The result is a unique and sustainable work, which combines tradition and innovation, and which highlights the art and culture of pottery and ceramics in Navarrete.
